In 1665, the plague came to the village of Eyam in Derbyshire. Plague carrying fleas nestled in cloth which came from London. Delivered to a local tailor, the fleas would soon spread disease throughout the village. The village would make a choice that would help change our understanding into the spread of dangerous diseases. They would go into quarantine in order to halt the spread. This is their story. The village of Eyam featured in our first issue of Inside History magazine. The printed edition has limited copies remaining but you can still get a digital copy for £1.95 from our online store. https://insidehistorymagazine.ecwid.com/ --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/inside-history/message
